I use to have 5mm space for my car and I enjoyed it... til my wheel hub bearing went out quicker than I expected...

Now, I bought rims that perfectly line up with the fender width, so it looks wide, but it's not. lol

Wheels bearings go out quickly with a wrong offset wheel. Thats why those socal kids with their +15 offset 18x 11 trillion inch wheels are proving their own incompetence. The bearings are probably about $50 a piece and are a PITA to replace without a press...

+48 and 17x8? If so you should be fine. But +38 with that width would indeed lead to increased bearing wear and eventual failure...

i don't think you will have any issues with wheel bearings and that offset. if one does go out though.. throw your stock wheels back on w/o spacers and take it in to the dealership. warranty ftmfw.

adding spacers to your wheels just makes the offset bigger. so you are going from a 48et to 38et. i want to get ahold of some 5mm spacers until i can afford some 17x9's and race tires :D

i just texted you my number btw.

I don't think you need spacers, you just need a drop.

i'll ask him. i can't promise everything. we may have to pay for materials, but i assume it won't be very much at all.. and he's only got numbers for the 5x100 one

brendon, iirc, yours are 5x100. i may be wrong.
brett, aren't the sti's 5x114.3?
