Ok guys and gals my buddy works out at the track and we are getting and event planned out for Subaru's and was supposed to be for just Nasioc but I think we will get a better turn out if we just put the word out and get as many subaru's out there as possible.

The event on Oct 17th is an MPRA race event with a big Subaru and Mitsubishi presence supposedly.

And so we want a huge subaru show of course, so it will cost you $16 bucks a car(if you have your wife or girlfriend they get in with this price or just a passenger), which will include the coral/show right up front, a swag bag and he is trying to get us out for just a parade lap right before the main race, he is also trying to get something for a give away as well but we are not sure on that just yet.

There will also be a timed Auto-Cross out at the east padock as well, and we are trying to keep that as cheap as possible. (this might also be open to the public as well)

So come out that day!! if anything you will have right up front parking and are already there for the race!! plus a swag bag!
And remember we want as many people out there as we can!! I may also post on SLCSubaru as well. But for now just get the word out! and let me know if you plan on going so I can keep a tally so we know about how many cars to expect!

K the parade lap is for sure now!! and it will be around the full track!!

Also forgot to mention I believe my buddy has help from the SRRT as well! not sure in what way though.

Wait, so this is just a meet out at miller that we have to pay to go to, aside from driving out to grantsville?

no its not just a meet. if you read the first thread carefully it says there will be an autocross, a paradelap before the main race, and the 16 pretty much gets you into the race instead of having to pay for a seperate ticket and having to park all the way out in the parking lots. you will be up front in a coral/show area. plus this is also a steping stone for further sponsorship from Subaru and SRRT next season. plus there will be a swag bag and that gets your name into a drawing to win some other cool things.(not sure what they are just yet though)

some of the details could still change, the more people I say are coming the better things could get!

If its just MPRA, aren't the paddocks open anyways? This whole thing confuses me. Do i have to pay to autocross or is it included with the ticket? I'm not knocking it or anything, but it just sounds like going to MPRA for $16 instead of $6... I probably won't make it due to the proximity to me anyways. Because if i'm driving way out there, i better end the day having gone fast enough to scare me a little.

yeah ^^^ the description is not very clear. I'm a little confused on it too.

Ok sorry for the confusion, but the reason it is $16 is because that is per car, so you can load your car with people and everyone gets in. plus the autoX is discounted for people that are involved in this as well it will be $2 per lap or $10 for a 2 hr session, where as the public will have to pay $4 per lap and I don't know if there will be a 2 hour session for them either or not.

plus the drawing is going to be worth it! I am trying to find out what we are giving away, but my buddy is still working on getting everything, so as soon as I find out what we are giving away I will post it up.

one of the main reasons we are trying to get a ton of subaru's out there is because there is a big subaru and big evo presence so we are trying to get subaru and subaru road racing teams attention! that way we can get a race put together maybe at the begining of next season just for us! and also so we can do another one of these coral things on a bigger event day as well next season. This is all a stepping stone for bigger and better events next season and so on.

we are also trying to get as many cool things in the swag bags as well if that makes any difference.

If i can get out there without having to put my car to risk in the snow, than i will come. But otherwise, thats just too long of a drive for an autocross...

Oh if you only knew what happens when you mix Azenis and snow haha... BADDDDD things...

I will probably make it out there. But, as i said, last winter took a heavy toll on my car, and to be perfectly honest, i don't even want to risk a repeat. So, if the sun is a-shining, i'll be there.

also for anyone who is interested Jason is makin up a flyer for this event and is going to post it everywhere, possibly in the urinals too! haha so keep an eye out for that as well!
