ok so my dad took his car (01 pt cruiser) in for an alignment and was told he needed some aftermarket camber bolts to get his right front tire within specs. firestone quoted $160 to have it done and i thought thats a bit high. ive done alignments before so i know how it all works but just curious on what needs to happen for the aftermarket adjusters to be installed. i know someone here has experience with camber bolts so please edumacate me on the aftermarket stuff.

Good bolts are about $50.

hahaha yes im sure your dad needs his car drilled and welded in order to drive straight. Those PT cruisers put down a lot of torque, especially since your dad was probably constantly pushing it to its limits

wow reading things like this make me hate shops. haha. I bought brand new spc camber bolts from rallysport for 40 bucks, then installed them myself in 10 minutes. It's simple. 08whiterex explains it exactly

getting it adjusted right you need a machine though... you know that bryce replace the bolt and have someone align it eh? firestone sells lifetime alignments for like $130 as long as you own the car you align it for exactly $0 (excluding parts)
it's bomb for gett -3% camber for a race day too ;) :tophat:
