ok am i on crack or do the letters a and c look slightly different than the other letters??

It probably has something to do with the fonts on your computer. Is there a font conflict or are you missing any of these: (in hierarchical order of the css)

Lucida Grande, Trebuchet MS, Helvetica, Arial

On my work computer I am lacking a few fonts, so I have this issue on other sites. But on my laptop, where I have all of my fonts, I am fine.
